Our Story
In the summer of 2017, God burdened our hearts with thousands of girls who were victims of sexual abuse and subsequently became pregnant. These children were suffering. They were being ignored, with virtually no care facilities or organizations existing to help them.
We had a vision: a home where girls would find safety and healing.
They would get counseling and education, learn skills and trades, and come to know Jesus through relational discipleship.
The Kukhoma project is the fruit of that vision—and it’s become more than we could have dreamed of. Today, The Kukhoma Project operates a two-year residential program and extensive community outreach to fight gender-based violence and change the story for women and girls in Zambia—for good.
